Grace and her mum at the Ronald McDonald House Silver Ball

Grace first began Volunteering in 2013 at the Ronald McDonald House in Newcastle, when she moved there for university studies. Grace tells us ‘ I chose Ronald McDonald as the work they do are incredible and I love the spirit of the volunteers, Family Room and House.’

When Grace moved back to the Central Coast she contacted the Family Room and continued Volunteering for the charity in the Gosford Family Room and has been a committed and wonderful addition to the team since January 2016.

Grace loves volunteering in Family Room, being there for the families, chatting to them and spending time playing games with the children. She tells us that there is so much she loves about being part of the RMH family, but says ‘my favourite thing is always meeting incredible children and their families every shift.’

Grace doesn’t only give her time, but she also had attended some of our race days and balls and has had some wonderful memories.

‘I attended the 25th Birthday Ronald McDonald Silver Ball in Newcastle with my Mum. It was a belated Mothers Day Gift and I don't think we could of imagined a more incredible night. The food, community spirit and ballroom were both beautiful and grand. Like all events Ronald McDonald House organise it out did any expectations and highlighted what an incredible charity and work Ronald McDonald House Charities Northern NSW do throughout our community. Thank you to the organisers for this wonderful event, my Mum and I had an absolute ball’.
