Judi has been volunteering in the Family Room since it opened in 2013. “Retirement is great, but I wanted to give something back to the community.”

While completing a Bachelor of Paramedicine in Port Macquarie, Elissa needed to complete a community volunteer placement and immediately she thought of Ronald McDonald House Charities.

Having recently moved to town, Denise found she had time on her hands and wanted to give back to the community

Sue has been volunteering at Ronald McDonald House Tamworth for the last four years and is someone we can always count on when we need an extra hand at Easter, Christmas or overnight on the weekends.

Grace first began Volunteering in 2013 at the Ronald McDonald House in Newcastle, when she moved there for university studies.

Steve has been volunteering with the Family Retreat in Foster for about 12 years. Initially assisting Retreat founder Ross Pressgrave OAM with fundraising, but for the past 10 years Steve has taken up the role as Captain of the Retreats “SS Cooper”, a 4-metre boat donated and serviced by Barclay Marine in Forster.

Carrington who is a full-time student working 3 jobs still manages to make time every second week to give back to the community and volunteer in the Family Room

When husband and wife Warren and Lila aren’t travelling, they are volunteering at Ronald McDonald House each month and have been doing so since 200

Jillian and Emilie bring so much joy and fun to the Room when they Volunteer. They  joined our team this year and are are both working or studying full time. Each month they make it a priority to come and be in the Ronald McDonald Family Room to help other

Carol is an avid volunteer as it gives her a good sense of purpose and a reason to get up in the mornings. 

Judi and Lyn have been volunteering every second week in the Ronald McDonald Family Room in Gosford since it opened in 2013 and they can’t get enough of it. Helping not only in the Family Room, but at community events as well.  

If Margo is not adventuring across the globe or scaling Mount Everest, you might find her on reception at Ronald McDonald House.

For families using our Family Rooms at the John Hunter Children’s Hospital, they might need to get their autograph book out when our volunteer, Kate Ryan, is on her monthly shift.
