On Friday 27th October, over 100 players enjoyed an amazing day at Kooindah Waters for the Annual Northlake’s Toukley Rotary Charity Golf Day, of which the Ronald McDonald Family Room was the major beneficiary.

This is the 4th year running the Northlake’s Toukley Rotary has partnered with the Ronald McDonald Family Room at Gosford. Each year it just seems to be getting bigger and better. This year broke all records and raised $30,000, with 50% of the proceeds going to the Ronald McDonald Family Room.

Thank you to everyone who came along, joined in the fun and contributed to the amazing day. A special thanks goes go to event partners Job Centre Australia, Lakes Podiatry and Servers Australia,  who have been huge supporters of the Family Room. They've also announced they'll be back again as Event Partners this year. We can’t wait for another great day in 2018 and ask you to please save the date, Friday 19th October 2018 for this year’s Golf Day.

The massive success of the day means that more families with a sick or injured child will have the opportunity to de-stress, relax and  be cared and supported while dealing with have a sick or injured child in Gosford Hospital. In 2017 the Family Room has was busier than ever, with over 15,600 people visiting throughout 2017. This means we are going through more supplies and resources than ever before, and this money raised will go a long way in helping care and provide for our families.

Without the ongoing support of many local businesses and individuals, including everyone involved with the Charity Golf Day, we would not be able to continue to provide and care for so many families.  With 2017 busier than ever and the new Hospital Development nearing completion we anticipate the Family Room only being busier again in 2018. Thanks to the community support,  we know we will be there to continue to support and care for more families throughout 2018.
