Meet Cohen, Ben & Emily

Cohen came into the world, with life-threatening complications, it was the beginning of a long and emotional journey for his parents, Emily and Ben.

With closest relatives over a 2 hour drive away from the hospital, they desperately needed a safe and supportive place to stay.  A “home away from home”, where they could keep their family close during this harrowing time.

While Cohen received life saving treatment and surgery, over many months, Emily and Ben called Ronald McDonald House their home in Newcastle, Tamworth and Randwick.
 

“To be able to use Ronald McDonald House services wherever we
needed to be with Cohen was such a relief. To have the support of
other families and volunteers was so important to us,
and really helped us get through each day”,  Ben.
